The label holder (another industry standard) lives alongside the artwork or as close as is relevant and provides basic information about the object on view. Again, the objective is to offer the information in the simplest, least distracting manner possible.

The label holder has a thin extruded aluminium backplate with a clear acrylic cover that can be slid to one side for changing the information. It has the advantage of being extremely slim, robust, cost effective and the small ones come with a single screw hole to aid positioning and levelling.
